Once upon a time, i shopped at Mr DIY and got 20% voucher to Zoo Negara.
Jadi, masa cuti haritu, kitorang sempatkan diri dan pergi ke Zoo!
Alhamdulillah cuaca pun sedap haritu, tak panas, tak lembap, pastu tak ramai sangat orang sebab kita pergi awal pagi =)
Rasanya kalau nak milk money from customers, baik bagi harga mampu beli kot jadi lagi banyak orang sanggup beli. But then, who am i to say kan.
Ni dah kali ketiga kot i pegi zoo negara. Kali kedua dengan anak anak. Dulu kitorang pergi, budak budak ni kecik lagi, naik stroller pakai pampers lagi, jadi kurang syok la sebab firstly, diorang tak ingat, secondly, bila diorang penat, panas, jadi cranky. Bila diorang cranky, kita parents nya pun jadi ponek la.
Kali ni pergi, semua orang dah boleh bawak beg sendiri, jalan sendiri, dah paham, so jadi best =D
Kitorang jalan jalan dalam 2 jam kot with minimal breaks. Sebab mak korang ni ha tak sabau nak tengok benda lain hehehee 😎
First time i get to see a live living panda gak!
Sonok la heheheheee
Geram tengok si panda ni baring terbosey camni! Mintak kena gomol je dia ni. Aish!
Actually, tengah jalan tu, budak budak ni dah penat. Isaac dah mintak nak balik, nak mandi sebab berpeluh peluh. I pun dah start rasa rimas sebab tengah pe-od, pastu toilet agak ehem la kalau nak tukar tu kan.
But we're no quitters!!
We walked until the end! Come darah, come peluh, whatever it may be! We did it! Ahakaakakakas 😝
Isaac started going to school for such a short time before covid happened, which is kinda sad la sebab he didn't get to enjoy socialising. Not that he is a social butterfly. He is, in fact, quite the opposite.
He started preschooling at 2ish years old. His personality is that of an observant and timid person, also known as quiet person.
He grew up speaking very minimally and sometimes when we try to strike a conversation with him, he just won't correspond the way we wanted. That being said, he is a very forward person too.
You ask him "how's your day?", he'll answer "it was very fun". And that's it.
"What did you do at school?"
"I play". Ok..
"What did you play?"
"Toys".
Alhamdulillah, eventually he started talking more and now he's talking just fine.
Anyways, once upon a time, when i was talking to him, asking the usuals;
"So how's school?"
"It was fun", he said. Dah agak dah.
"What did you do?"
"I play blablabla" (don't really remember the convo)
"Oh, i see".. me wondering what are the right questions to get him talking more, when...
"No you didn't see. You were not at my school", he answered.
I was so amused and he said this to anyone who said "i see", whether it be their grandparents, uncles, aunt, or his father.
And he was right 😂
We didn't see so how dare we said we saw it, when we weren't even there? The audacity of us!
Hahaahahahaha!!
Fast forward to today, we still say "i see". Sorry isaac. We still have our audacity 😝
Before i had kids, i thought having kids would be all fun and laughter.
Eventhough i have brothers, still, i thought MY own kids would be different.
They'll be the awesome-est, fun-est, happiest kids!
Coz they're MINE.
Until i had kids.
Buahahahaha!
I mean, yes they are fun and happy and funny cuddly cute widdle wushumyumyuaiyuuuyuuu
and then when something goes wrong, EVERYTHING blows up.
Maybe it's just my kids, i don't know actually.
So yesterday, Nadrah had her gym class, and i purposely took her and isaac an hour and a half earlier because i knew she will sleep in the car, and if i had to wake her up too soon, she'll be cranky.
Strategy.
Or so i thought..
Then woke her up, went to her gym class, and she started behaving like a.. an irrational person.
aka cranky.
I tried talking nicely to her, and she just straight up being rude to me, so i gave her time off (like biar je dia tak layan dia). In the class, she started not participating with her friends, and i got annoyed.
The teachers and her friends cuba pujuk dia gak, and after almost half an hour, and dia still macam tu,
apa lagi.
Balik je la.
So we all went home~
Anyway, yesterday i wasn't feeling so well.
Tapi as a mom, we can't really do anything about that, can we? Still have to cook food, control kids, etc etc.
I was annoyed and tired, and when we got home, Nadrah was just entahpape.
Yes, that's how much she doesn't love me.
She made this and practically shoved it in my face.
Walaupun hati berkecai kecai, penat, sakit, annoyed, apa nak buat?
Buat dek je la.
Pastu sebab dia still nak lepas geram, dia gi buli adik dia.
Haih.......
Kids are just a big crazy mess to figure out. They can't control their emotions and they don't know why they're acting a certain way, and they don't know how to read social behaviours.
We parents know that, we know!
We understand that it's not their fault and still we have to teach them.
Over and over and over again.
You hear songs about people getting heartbroken from their partners kan. Probably because they haven't been hurt by their kids 😂
Nadrah is only 6 years old.
Already she's acting like a tween.
Macam mana laaaaa nanti bila dia dah teenager 😰
I'm scared for the irrational parts to come out on a different level.
Fuyoh!
Mars, did you just? Did you? Change the... header?
*imagine Kourtney Kardashian's facial expression*
Yeah. I'm like, totally excited about it.
It's like, totally, me.
Know what i mean.
Hahs!
I'm no artistic person, but trust me to try new things and sharing them like nobody's business when i know it's so completely utterly noob.
And that's the thing about me:
I don't care.
I just like trying new things. And here's the product of me experimenting on adobe illustrator, because it might be useful in future, who knows, and i'd like to be able to at least do some basic stuff. It's sort of fun too actually.. Why didn't anyone teach me how to use it long time ago?!
Oh ya.
Nadrah has just started school this week.
It's a long story, but basically, husband and i agreed that it's for the best.
Nadrah ni, agak gangsta la. And by gangsta, i mean independently strong-willed little explorer.
She's got a lot of energy that just watching her pun can make us tired. (seriously, everyone said that..)
And all this while, we took her to the curve punya kids zone's play area, because it's the only place where she likes. She didn't quite like the one in ikano yang kat atas sekali tu.
A few weeks ago, I took Eva (my cousin's daughter) who's a year older than nadrah with us to my mom's house. Nadrah and i go there on daily basis anyway, and since my cousin lives in the same condo as us, i thought, hey, nadrah needs a friend to spend her energy with, so why not!
And fuhhh!! I tell ya, it was like a hurricane in the house. The girls would play with each other, and then suddenly both are screaming. Then one of them starts crying, and the other runs away.
Or they'll both fight and grab for something.
But the screaming and the crying and the MESS!
It was incredible.
A work of art.
-____-"
That was when i realised that nadrah had sharing issue. She doesn't know how to share. And to make her understand the concept of sharing wasn't easy. Coz she's only 1+years old!! Haha! Nak cerita panjang panjang kat dia pun bukan dia paham sangat!
We explained to her already, siap demo lagi.
"Ha, like this ok nadrah? Understand?"
"Understand!"
Yeah right. Pffft!
I thought she'll get it soon enough. But after a few weeks of having eva over, she still couldn't share. I think partially it's because my mom's house is still like a comfort zone, so she knows she can still get her way.
And that was when i realised that nadrah kinda needs to learn how to social. At the play area at the curve tu, she usually just push her way to where ever she wants to go (which is the slide where she gets to swing at the bar before going down the slide), or just weave herself around the kids. She can play with kids, but she doesn't know how. She just stares at them. How can they not be confused with her?
Kesian. Baru setahun lebih hidup kan. HAHAHA!
Because nadrah ni suka pergi walk up to kids randomly, in hopes they will just accept her and play with her, i thought she needs to at least get used to it. Perhaps she'll learn how to "break the ice" or whatever la. If she's not like that, i think i wouldn't even consider sending her to playschool.
Alhamdulillah last week when i sent her over to the playschool for a "test drive", she was excited to see so many kids that she didn't even said goodbye to me. Buat dek je and sat at a chair as if she knows the place so well. That was why i felt confident that she'll be ok in playschool.
Btw, before anyone nak melenting ke apa, the school is near my house je, and it's just for 4 hours. To Nadrah, it's like 15 minutes.
Hehehehe!
Now baru second day. So far, so good. The teachers already confirmed my hypothesis on nadrah, so i hope they are well equipped and physically and mentally prepared to handle nadrah and the rest of the children. Huhu! But i'm so grateful that she likes going to school. Oh ya, eva pun sama skolah! Hehehe! I can imagine what they're up to in the school together. =p
Lagi dia tau eva ada, lagi semangat dia nak gi skolah dia!
I hope that nadrah will learn things i can't teach her and that she'll have some childhood fun with her peers. Eventhough i don't remember my preschool days, but i guess i must've learnt some things there. I mean, i had learned to use the potty. That's a really good thing.
Ihiks!
because i don't have the picture of her in her playschool. =p
*title of this post is inspired by Bananas in Pajamas. And because nadrah is in her pajamas in this pic.
=p
Sekarang sudah pun beberapa hari lepas raya aidilfitri.
Apa cite korangs?
Kita orangs okays jers.
this is, alhamdulillah, our third year beraya as a family - myself, husbeng and nadrah.
this year, beraya ngan family aspidos dulu, baru dengan mine.
i was talking to a friend yesterday and it just got me flasback-ing to the first raya after i 'berhijrah' and then to the first raya i had with aspidos's families.
first raya lepas i berhijrah, i wasn't that aware of the mahram & non-mahram thing, and went ahead with salam and hug all relatives i have. it didn't occur to me that i had to jaga not only my aurat, but my skinship with others.
so, when i realised this important fact, i tried to implement it by avoiding salaming my uncles and cousins who are my non-mahram. it wasn't easy, i tell yah.
we're so used to salaming each other and stuff, that when i tried avoiding it, it looked as if i was avoiding them. my bad though, i didn't know a subtler way of not accepting handshakes, so i say my "Selamat Hari Raya!" and run off quickly in a circle. because i don't know where else to go coz sometimes during these raya visits, we just can't run off to bathrooms, or whoever's rooms every time someone comes in, get what i mean?
it was so awkward in those early implementation phase.
but alhamdulillah now, all my cousins and uncles are aware of my principles, so they don't extend their hands anymore.
and then there's my husband's side of the family.
i wear tudung all the time when i'm at my in-laws. actually, even at my parent's house i pakai tudung. it used to be hot but i've gotten so used to it that kalau tak pakai, rasa cam rimas. haha!
so anyway, the same thing happened with my in-laws. i mean the uncles and cousins part. i was the first menantu ever kot dalam level anak buah for the uncles and aunties, so i guess they weren't aware of the no-salam prinsip i have.
again, it was awkward at first, but alhamdulillah now, semua dah tau je.
no matter which kampung we go back to, either mine or aspidos's, i have to tutup aurat all the time, except kalau dapat bilik.
and in those early days, people would tell me that it's okay to take of my tudung and wear short sleeve tees because we're all family.
i'm just telling you that, yes, it's hard at first to taichi the handshakes, the hugs, and people's perception (if they have any) of you.
the handshakes especially sebab bila uncle kita yang kasi duit raya, mesti diorang expect kita salam kan? ada yang memang dah tau and kisah pasal mahram/non mahram ni.
tapi ada yang tau tapi tak kisah, and ada yang tak tau.
just do it anyway.
try to stop yourself from extending your hand for a handshake.
try to take the duit raya without handshaking your uncles or male cousins.
try to wear tudung and long sleeve tees (and long pants/skirts duhh) anyway when it's hot and pedulikkan apa orang kata.
try to wear shoes everywhere so that you're in your socks all day.
how i did it might not be the best way:
i take the angpow, put my hands behind me, bow my head and tell them "Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin, *insert awesome speech on forgiveness for my faults etc*".
so far it worked.
but i bet there are other ways to do it. i think i saw videos of it too!
i know this post should've been up before raya, but you know how Ramadhan is.
Instagram was the way to go. hahaha! =p
it doesn't have to start during raya though. anytime pun boleh start all this no salam thing. so there's always time to change and stick to your principles.
inshaAllah you'll do fine, and inshaAllah it'll get easier =)
All the best!
our most appropriate family photo. ada lagi actually, tapi photos dari phone tak sync lagi ngan computer. wuuuu..
baju baju yang sepatutnya kita pakai masa sil kawen, tapi tak jadi. so jadi baju raya je.
It was a few days before chinese new year's holiday when mom, my aunt, nadrah and i went to Terengganu for a bit of a getaway.
My mom's got a friend who owns a B&B (bed and breakfast) inn at Kijal called Kijalena.
It has been so long since i've been to the beach, so i was so happy that my mom asked me if i wanted to join. OF COURSE MA, YES! AKU NAK TENANGKAN MATA SIKIT NI HA!
masa tu i was macam serabut sikit, sebab...
takdeideanaktulisapauntukbukumuahahahaha
and i thought, it could be a good learning experience for nadrah. hehee =)
of course, a few hours of being in the car was boring for nadrah and the car seat was just crampin' her style. haha!
alhamdulillah we reached our destination and when i laid eyes on the view from the B&B, SUBAHANALLAH!
ok the picture wasn't doing the view any justice, and that fishing pole, well. perhiasan. haha!
seriously, it was so refreshing!
the air was calm, the water was beautiful - i could see the blue part and the green part, and it was in a kampung area, so it wasn't busy at all. it was just us and nature. =')
the moment we stepped out of the car, nadrah saw the swimming pool and immediately she wanted to swim.
she kept looking at the pool, and said "cim, cim" which means, swim, swim. -_-'
she got what she wanted. we went swimming.
the best thing about this B&B, is that the whole household is so unique. i pun tak reti nak explain. but the pool area, memang banyak tempat lepak. so while nadrah and i were swimming, my mom, aunty shikin (my aunt) and aunty nina (the owner of Kijalena) were chilling by the poolside.
in case y'alls were wondering, this is where we stayed. this is the chalet, 3 rooms, each has its own toilet, there's wifi too. so donch worri. =)
the owners live in a house opposite of the chalet (in the same compound of course) with their family. they're all super nice!
so yeah! nice kan? =D
after swimming, nadrah and i went exploring.
oh ya, nadrah got a toy horse from aunty nina. because there was an actual horse in their compound.
jeng jengggg!
his name was something like cavalli? roberto cavalli? eh tu nama kain.
something like that la. hehe!
it's not their horse, but they're looking after it for a friend.
so the orang kampung suka betul tengok the horse. they would stop their motorcycles and watch the horse eat or whatever secara berjemaah. hehe!
i would love to chill with the horse, but nadrah was between scared and amazed at it. she's like that with everything actually. wahaha!
she extends her hand to touch it, and the second i put her close enough to it, she withdraws her hand and lean back. takut.
ceit. there was a monkey too, and a guard dog (we didn't go near it. takut. haha!)
so now she knows what "hosh" and "angki" looks like in real life. good girl!
then we went to the beach, and nadrah was so squirmish that i got so uncomfortable. her squirms made my tudung go everywhere. i was so worried my tudung would flip and fly or something. haha!
good thing there was a log, and we sat there. so nadrah can see the sand but they're not in contact.
the sand was "geyi" to her! (geyi = geli)
hahahaa!
good thing she didn't want to "cim" in the sea. gila apa?!
nadrah fefeeling kew tewwww~
=p
baby, tak ponek lagi ke?
ummi dah pancit gilos ok...
memandangkan it's a B&B inn, not a hotel, so we had to look for dinner ourselves. not to worry! they have a pasar malam on monday nights, and mesra mall is just about 15minutes drive. it's all good!
that night was a monday night, and we all enjoyed eating our nasi kerabu and keropok lekor yang sedap gilos and tak berminyak. rindu pulak!
the next day, we went to kuala terengganu, which was seriously far than i thought, and got ourselves some keropok, keropok lekor and.. budu and all sorts la! we bought them all at the pasar payung.
after shopping, we went to the masjid terapung and that's where nadrah saw fishies chasing after food.
the fishes we're used to seeing are the ones in aquariam. so, no kejar-kejar la.
she got so excited everytime the fishes goes after the food she threw in.
kept repeating "pish, pish, pish, pish" sambil bagi ikan makan, sambil tengok my face, sambil tengok my mom's face. hahaha!
alhamdulillah =)
cantik masjid ni!
when we got back to Kijalena, of course nadrah wanted to swim.
but not after we chill at the beach jap ye sayang!
ololoooo~ so gadis melayu terakhir! hehehee!
tokmom, stopped taking pictures and get me a drink! - said nadrah.
=p
=')
we went swimming shortly after (since nadrah insisted), but we swam for like, less than 30minutes i think? 15 minutes like that coz nadrah got tired and she wanted the keropok the aunties were eating at the pool side.
that night, we went to mesra mall for dinner =)
mesra mall tu ok la gak, banyak kids. nadrah loves seeing kids so she was happy.
there was this girl around her age, and she was so sweet! kissing nadrah and smiling a lot. nadrah even played with a kakak who wasn't even playing with her! hahahaha! kelakar tengok!
and then there was this exercise machines display at the concourse, and the kids just took over the place. they were playing with the shake-lemak thingy and the treadmill.
reminds me of my childhood. hehe!
we headed for home the next day after breakfast.
my mom actually intended for me to get the writer's block out of me, but i got so tired coz nadrah.. was being like any other toddler yang 'nak kenal dunia'.
i wasn't inspired to write after the trip, but i was inspired by the beauty of the sea.
i felt so at peace when i look at the beach.
all of my senses were remembering everything.
i've been holding on to too much of metal that i almost forgot what sand felt like. my eyes were used to looking at screens - tv screen, laptop, phone - that i almost forgot the colours of the sea water. my ears were so used to hearing noise, that i forgot what calm sounds like.
it was amazing.
i felt truly blessed that Allah allowed me to come here. it was a wake up call!
i thought, Allah's creation is this beautiful, then Allah must be..Wow. the creation is nothing like the Creator, right?
subhanallah. subhanallah. glorified is Allah. glorified is Allah. =')
so, if you're interested to stay at this place, here's their contact number!
thank you ma =)
i love you so much.
thank you and all praise to Allah for this rezeki =)
in sha Allah after raya ni, i will restock the Jubahs i've been selling at La Kayena.
will definitely let you guys know when ya! just "Like" the page to get updated =)
barangsiapa yang tanya apa maksud "la kayena",
well maksud dia ialah:
you will feel comfortable in our jubahs and you will be more confident and can perform your daily tasks better because you're comfortable & more confident!
how's that?!
hahahahaa!!
by the way, this is out of topic (but then, it is a rather random post) agak agaknya, camane la raya masa kita jadi grandparents nanti.. this time, our grandparents masak cara old school. our time? maybe semua dah ada instant. instant rendang, instant laksa johor.. oh sedihnya! pastu kalau kita jadi grandparents kang, when our children & grandchildren takde, what do we do to fill our time?
husband said he'll probably still main game and i masih blogging. i said "yeah right". but then, who knows la kan? what do you think?
alhamdulillah my family & i dapat berholiday ke South Africa kapan hari =)
sape sape nak tau, Cape Town is seriously fun & beautiful place to visit!
sape sape nak tau gak, my husband ni muka cam jepun.
kadang kadang tengok dia, teringat lagu I Can Give You Gatsby - Takuya Kimura.
i~~~~ can give you gatsubeeeee~~ gatsubeeeee~~ gatsubeeee~~
comel. tapi dia tu nakal gak.
and he is the reason i laugh a lot =)
so anyway, he made fun about my baby bump when we're in South Africa a lot. keeps calling it 'Boncet'.
sebab before we flew there, the bump macam tak nampak sangat.
but for some reason, baby decided to grow extra fast and kicks like a kickboxer on training when we reached there! aneh betul baby ni. tapi abah dia pun pelik.
abah dia ya. mak dia blog je peliks.blogspot.
and then, i'm sorry la i'm pregnant! so i shall sit and lie down like one! hmph!
but le husbeng suka betul gelakkan i, and make an annoying japanese face sambil point at my awesome baby bump. boleh imagine ke?
he'd go "eeeeeeeeeee.. bonceeeeeeeett!"
pastu i akan cakap la "boncet ni baby tau." kurang asam.
oh by the way, i always say to him "kurang asam", and dia pulak say to me "kurang sambal".
paham tak cheeky dia camane?!!
kalau i boleh cite all the cheeky stuff he says and does.. eh takleh.. susah tu. terlampau banyak to remember. hahhaa!
so pasal 'boncet' ni.
i said "kalau i bukan pregnant and you call me boncet, mesti i terasa"
he said "kalau you tak pregnant, memang i'll be more careful not to say anything about it! you ingat i ni bongok ke?"
and we both laughed teguling guling, ala ala ROFL you know. hahaha!!
i'm glad all those years of us growing up together taught him how to treat me. =)
girls, if you're looking for a husband, find someone that can cheer you up when you're down, who knows what to say and do when you're not.. you know.. in the right state of mind. ahakkk!
what did i tell ya huh? a turkish lady with her japanese husband.
truth be told, it has been a while since i've been personal with my blog.
been doing reviews a lot..
and truth be told, i am pregnant!
say say say whaaaaaaat??
oui! alhamdulillah i am pregnant!
dah a few months dah actually =p
it was a very... challenging first trimester.
hmmm nak story ke tak.
...................................
story la sikit.
ehem.
ok so i imagine the experience back from a third persons' view and it looks funny but the experience on me, it was soooooooooo harrrrdddd!!!
1. i had to eat all the time. i must have biscuits with me at all times. hunger will cause me to vomit.
2. i couldn't read. reading made me dizzy. dizziness made me vomit.
3. i couldn't stay vertical for more than a few minutes. sitting or standing for too long made me vomit.
4. i could only eat seciput nasi and 1 jenis lauk. watching others eat made me wanna vomit. having too much on my plate made me wanna vomit. eating too much made me vomit.
5. i couldn't drive. driving made me dizzy. refer to no. 2.
6. i have to be in a quiet place. noise made me dizzy. refer to no. 2.
oh the list goes on.
so as you can imagine, i was bed bound for the longest time, for the first time!
i ni dah la memang jenis takleh duduk diam. i was a workaholic.
i jenis yang memang kena buat something. free time means opportunity-looking time.
oh ya. i'm not working anymore as an engineer. i'm working on a project which i hope will be successful when it's done. in sha Allah.
and i'm still studying heee.. tak sabar nak habis!!! aaahhhhhh!!!
ok back to being bed bound.
i had accepted to do some product reviews (before i knew i was pregnant) kan... tapi body tak larat... i pernah sakit hati sangat sebab my body tak boleh nak cooperate with me, sampai i nanes nanes..
i told my hubby about it of course, and he was being very supportive cakap i can do it, and i have to do it sebab rezeki, blablabla, pastu i marah dia lak.
hahaahahahahahahaha!
i cakap "u cakap macam senang je! cuba you pregnant!"
emo gila =p
biasa la orang pregnant kan. hormone and feelings macam gila sket. off-tune.
yang kelakar nya, i can get easily emotional by songs.
i heard lagu Yuna - Lelaki.
kan dia nya chorus, it goes "lelaki tak guuuuuuuuuuuuuuna, etc etc"
i loved the song, but the song made me so emotional, bukan setakat emo je, tapi nangis nangis and geram nya emo tuuhhh! sampai i muntah and pening pening, and every man yang i rasa tak guns sume goes through my mind and the 'tak puas hati' feeling tu stayed on sampai i lupa lagu tu ok!!!
sakit pale tul. even PRU made me sick!
and then, there's me being on my own with nothing to do. body and mind nak rest tapi jiwaku perlukan fresh air, perlukan jalan jalan, tapi apo nak buek.
i even had plans for my semester break. i wanted to go bungy jumping and skydiving, roller coaster riding, knee boarding, and more, tapi again. apo nak buek. tunggu baby keluar, and then i ajak dia buat skali with me. nyehehehehee =p
so being on my own was tougher than i thought. i was tired all the time.
but for the first time, i was able to rest all day!
i think for years, i have very seldom had real rest.
rest pun boleh online lagi. dulu la.
but this time, i was really resting. all my gadgets i letak tepi. (i hated my phone =p sebab it always rings. ada je keje kena buat. i ignored a lot.. huhu..)
and rasa best pulak. just chilling and talking to my baby. and just picturing of what i will do when the baby arrives.
there are times (present tense ya) when people remind me of things i wanted to do but couldn't (due to pregnancy opkos), it wasn't easy to.. accept? is that the word? ha camtu la.
it wasn't easy, but i know Allah is the best of Planners, and He planned this for me and my family.
there has to be a reason why He chose me to carry a child now kan =)
keredhaan & keikhlasan has been said to be the 2 hardest feelings to summon when we're not emotionally stable.
so apo nak buek? tunggu emosi stable la pastu panggil la itu perasaan! hehee!
i think for now cukup la i nak berkarang pasai pregnancy ni.
ponek pulak. heheee =p
hope you all can forgive me for my carelessness when i blog these days. i can't always jaga your hati, therefore, i ask for your cooperation to at least be tactful with mine =)
kalau request ni macam berat sebelah, alamak, sorry la ya!
to all experienced mothers, i'd love to hear your advices!! and you're so awesome! sebab now i know what it's like to be pregnant, and most of you have done so much better than me!
SALUTE!! RESPECT!!
may Allah reward you for your strength and patience! =D
ok la itu je =)
salam!
ps: thanks for reading this super long post! love you lillahi!
rasa cam sekejap je masa berlalu.
it's already april!
and today is my big brother's birthday, yayyy!
alhamdulillah abang saya yang second tu dah 27 years old =)
my bros are awesome.
=)
ok so, ni compilation of cerita cerita minggu saya!
1. haritu i was watching the movie Abduction on tv with my parents. kitorang takde la tengok khusyuk sangat pun. just watch sambil cakap and i tengok my mom main that candy crush game (which she is so obsessed with now). pastu tiba satu scene where the Jacob dude guy (i don't know his name) fought with this CIA agent in the train.
we all watched with so much emotion, coz i was like "lari! lari! ha pusing, tumbuk!" and my mom pun sama naik.
at one point the CIA agent tu dah knocked out and the Jacob dude tengah macam fikir kot nak buat apa ngan mamat tu.
my mom got so emo, she said "ha amik pistol! tembak otet dia!"
BAHAHAHAHHHAHHAHAHAH!!!
"hurt him where it hurts most!" she said!!
hahahhahahaha!!! dah lamaaaaaa gila tak dengar orang panggil benda tu ot*t!!!
2. i was talking with le hubby about future family and stuff. like our kid's names, what kind of activities we want them to choose from, stuff like that.
it was fun and fine =)
then i said i nak the kids call me umi.
hubs said he wants to be called Vader.
like Darth Vader.
coz vader means father.
and i asked "vat are you serious?"
he said yeah, coz he wants to have that scene when he says to the child "I AM YOUR FATHER" and the child screams back "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" sambil peluk tiang.
memang good for me la kot. our kids first words will never be calling their dad. baby mana boleh cakap vader? MUAHHAHAAHHAHAHA!!
i am guessing this will be his profile picture kat whatsapp and caller pic for the kids. hehe!!
3. haritu my family and i went out for dinner together. so bila balik tu, we saw a car outside of our gate. punya la kita "eh sape ni?", "kawan Ike ke?", "apasal dia dok depan gate? gi la tepi dulu kalau ye pun!".
then my bro bukak gate. and the car masuk!!
masuk rumah kita and park kat depan rumah.
amboiiii!
abang pun kata "he eh! suka hati je!"
kita pun masuk la, dan park di sebelah kereta tersebut.
abang (dia yang drive) turunkan tingkap, agaknya nak sound la.
pastu tengok tengok yang keluar kereta tu are orang orang tua.
OUR UNCLE AND AUNTY RUPANYAAAA!
they came over to our car and adik (yang duduk sebelah abang) said "he (my abang) was just asking who you are."
i ngan hubby tahan gelak kat belakang. malu abang weolls tu!
hehehehehe!!
tu la dah kata. husnuzon!!
4. last but not least, over the weekend, my hubby and i were obsessed with this video coz its SO FUNNY!!
went out with mom and arief tadi.
feels like ages since i actually see one utama's content.
i mean, ada la few times pegi, tapi selalu sangat ramai orang. so tadi bila pegi pastu kosong je, rasa cam..
"I CAN RUN IN THE MALL CAN I, CAN I???!!!"
nyeheheee =p
but opkos i didn't sebab pakai skirt satu, and sebab nanti adik kata i tak macho.
buahahaha!
dapat tengok movie tadi cite oz and powerful wonderful apentah. forgot the title and am too lazy to google it up.
nyeheheheee =p
cite ok, not bad, but kids will love it =)
kot. depend on what kind of movies budak tu suka la.
so after eating and chilling and stuff, kita pun pulanglah.
mom stopped at a kedai, minta saya tolong belikan telur dan roti.
arief kata "what? ok send me home first"
mama kata "jap je. roti & telur je".
arief kata "but kak ena is a tortoise.."
kak ena senyap sebab tak paham.
aku tortoise?
arief kata "let me buy them"
kak ena terkejut dan terpegun sebab adik offer diri untuk belikan groceries!?
amazing!!
bila dia dah beli, masuk kete je tanya "how long did i take?"
kak ena jawab "5 minutes"
nyeheheheeee!!!
happy sangat rasa!
disebabkan ke-tortoise-an ku, adikku volunteer to do things for us!!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
ok tu je sebenarnya =p
im sure korang pun malas kan kekadang nak turun beli barang =p
oh cuba la saya nak meng-cutekan diri dengan menggunakan bahasa jepun bajet anime (mata besau dah ada...), namun hakikatnya saya tak cute macam "cute" tapi cute versi pipi tejojol.
i just uploaded this picture on instagram yesterday, and mashaAllah..
ramainya kata watashiwa dah tembam des.
and ada juga yang ingat saya dah pregnant....
sob sob.. nanes kua hinus..
i think since i've become a Mrs., all people are anxious about hearing next is the "baby news".
and every happiness of mine, for some, means i'm pregnant, therefore i am happy. padahal i makan nasi putih, ayam goreng dan kicap pun boleh buat i happy..
i'm not pregnant yet.
and if asking if i am pregnant is a polite way of telling me that i'm fatter now, then.. ok, i kurangkan makan nasi putih, ayam goreng dan kicap. hehehehe! =p
secondly, (kalau ikut formal letter format, tak perlu state no.1) i ni boleh tahan kuat melatah la. i'm a bit jumpy for some reason. ok, not a bit la. more than a bit. a little bit more. pun boleh. =p
i don't remember how it all began.
but lantaklah. i melatah and that's that.
it used to be a lot worse before. i used to melatah bahasa entahpape with gaya. and if someone surprised me with "wah!!", i will melatah "wahh!!" dengan gaya ikut apa badan nak buat. i was that spontaneous..
now i've trained myself to melatah positively. most of the time i melatah "ya Allah!!".
but equally most of the time juga, i melatah "opocot mak kau!"
dulu kat uni pernah la ramai gak la kawan jawab balik, "apa? mak aku apa?", and so i tried stopping myself from melatah that way again.. but it's really hard..
what more kalau bila terkejut bertubi tubi.
the other day i went to watch a horror movie, Mama, with my sis-in-law, Fatin Liyana (the super famous doctor blogger ihikkk!!) and my mom-in-law. mak aih.. it's like any other ghost movie. not particularly scary, but the element of surprise tu, memang surprising lah!!
first terkejut "ya Allah!!"
second "opocot mak kau!"
third "opocot bontot!"
fourth "aiyoyo!!"
fifth "hocococohh!!"
semakin banyak terkejut bertubi tubi, semakin merepek.
astaghfirullahalazim..
i think this pic best show how selebet we can be when we couldn't be bothered.
orang kata kena basahkan lidah dengan zikrullah sentiasa so that the beautiful names of Allah SWT will meresap masuk jiwa kita dan insha Allah, Allah SWT akan sentiasa in our hearts and minds.
and orang kata kalau nak a new habit to stay, practise for 21 days, and in sha Allah the brain will accept it as a new habit.
so now, i need someone to terkejutkan i everyday for 21days and make sure all those times i melatah dengan zikir zikir seperti "Allahu akbar!", "subhanallah!", "alhamdulillah!" dan sebagainya.
.... husband?
(memang tak lah. kalau dia buat, i rasa i yang merajuk after 2nd day. gahahannenabhaha gelak terabur)
alhamdulillah tokmak turned 80 earlier this month!
awesome sungguh! bunting made by aunty rahi!
because tokmak turned 80 this year, my mom and her siblings planned a party for her at our house. it was themed Pink and Bling because tokmak being tokmak, loves pink and she's always wear her blings out. her biggest blings have always been her brooches. cute sangat!
part of the decor =)
this cake looked so good and cool that we all just cant wait to slice it open and nomnom like crazy!
my aunt from UK made a special appearance and surprised everyone! she arrived 2 days before the party, and tak bagitau sape2 pun! amboi aunty.. boleh jadi spy betul. haha!!
mama had this uncle to come and play music the whole time too.
bila uncle tu main lagu "pakai baju kancing la suasa" terus tokmak, my aunties and my uncles start dancing!!
hehehe!!
comel sangat diorang!
even my tokwan!! abah and ayahcho kena la dance with her! hehehe! =p
tokwan dah la sakit kaki, but she forced herself up and started moving around dancing with the rest!
she told all of us before, about how she used to dance with arwah tok. and seeing her dance, even if it was just jiggling from side to side, we were just so happy and touched by her efforts. comel je tokwan ni =')
and then the men took over the floor. hahahha!
oh and while the grown ups dancing and lepaking downstairs, the young ones kat atas main main.
main main dengan our treadmill. hahahaha!
so anyway, macam macam ada masa the celebration.
tokmak was touched and during her speech, we all got teary, and then the siblings lak bagi speech to tokmak, and again we got teary. not forgetting aunty nilo's suprice appearance that made everyone happy and amazed (coz she pulled it off successfully!!). and and... AH BANYAK LA!!
it was just special!!
hari tu i posted a pic of tokmak on instagram. ramai la pulak tanya camane she looked so young!
i asked her for her secret, and she said:
tokmak: eh, apa secret secret? aku buat macam bese jeee. semayang jangan tinggal, baca Quran, baca selawat banyak banyak kali, ha tu je la!!
mars: makan minum? pantang ke apa ke?
tokmak: makan je apa ko naak. bia sihat.
mars: takkan tu je?
tokmak: ish. ko be happy je. don' worry, be happy. haaa. kalo orang buat sakit ke apa, bio je. be happy je. jangan senang amek ati tau. tak suka, tengok benda lain. kalo tak tenang, selawat je. banyak ingat Allah.
ha tu dia. her secrets!
solat, read Quran, selawat banyak banyak, and don't worry, be happy! seems simple enough innit?
i think with all the ibadah she has been practicing, they've done good to her mental health. as for her physical health, we know it's because she busy herself with activities with her friends. she goes around with her hadrah group in muo, so she's not bored nor unfit.
and i think it's genetics too. ihik!
=)
my parents pun 54 years old this year. alhamdulillah they're in good health, physically and mentally!
so as a conclusion, jaga lah diri, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually so that in sha Allah we'll be able to live long enough to bring benefit to others too. in sha Allah =)
our nikah session was to be at 11am. so that day, after subuh prayers, i got myself ready.
mom dah ready kan breakfast for the whole family sebab we know masa nikah and after pun mesti susah nak makan.
masa tengok pelamin pagi tu, rasa excited sangat! "ya Allah, this is really happening!" - i thought to myself sambil makan karipap.
pelamin dah la cun gila! my mom & chenta weddings came up with the theme! i never knew how it looked like until they finished it! punya la tak involved ngan ceremony sendiri. heheheee..
and after eating and mingling with my family, i went upstairs for makeup in my lil bro's room. sorry arief. haha! =p
my cousin, Nina Faressa, yang makeup kan. she did my engagement makeup too! she has really good soft hand skill (not many have this. banyak kali i rasa cam kena seksa bila di-makeup kan) and she knows the kind of makeup i like; not heavy and not too bright.
anyway, after makeup, i went straight to my mom's room to wear my dress, which was made by my cousin, Nina Natessa. Faressa and Tessa are sisters btw =)
i don't know much about designing so at the designing stage a few months ago, i just told my mom the kind of dress i want, and mom conveyed it to Tessa. coz to me, i just want simple and nice dress/baju kurung. shape, colour, length, blablabla, sume tu i leave it to mom and Tessa. i was working and studying kan, so i hadn't had time to think about the baju.
alhamdulillah, the dress was exquisite, made with such intricate beadings yet simple and lovely!
so after getting ready, we all sat and wait. well, not really. while waiting, i had to do a lot of poses for the cameramen. haha!! it's good anyway, i was already nervous. posing awkwardly to the camera distracted me from my jitters =)
and then... rombongan pengantin lelaki sudah tiba.
mom and i went down, and the moment when i reached the downstairs, i saw Asfirdaus, in white baju melayu and black songkok. we looked at each other for a while and then we looked away. that moment, all i could think of was "this is it".
i whispered "bismillahirahmanirrahim" all the time while walking towards the pelamin.
unfortunately, when i sat at the pelamin, i cried. couldn't contain it any longer!
but takde la teresak esakkkk! tak cute la kan. hahah!
i cried when i saw my dad.
i'm the only girl among his children, and he's letting me go to Asfirdaus.
i had so many mixed emotions then, but what really made me tearful was the thought of how i wished i could do more as a daughter. i wished then that i could give back to my Abah, who have struggled so hard and so much when my brothers and i were younger..
the night before the nikah, my dad came to my room. he hugged me and said "i'm going to miss you". as i was looking at him then, on the pelamin, i really really felt that i will miss him. a lot.
i cried looking at mama crying and she cried looking at me crying!
hehehee!
i just felt so much love for my parents at that time. i just want to pause everything and tell them how much i love them. just for five minutes at least. but i don't have such power. all i could do was smile (tearfully) and pray in my heart.
my parents have done so many for me, for my brothers, for their families. my mom planned everything herself, from nikah sampaiiiii reception.
i did only 1% of the whole thing, which was to be there.
=')
i think all this emotional rollercoaster was just about 2-3 minutes but it felt like ages.
and then, ustaz started the ceremony.
session power transfer, from my father to Asfirdaus began.
ultimately, i was grateful to Allah SWT, for allowing all this to happen.
syukur alhamdulillah, i can't even give words to describe how grateful i am!
Allahu Akbar =')
akad nikah selesai in one brief moment, and when Asfirdaus, my husband, went to perform his sunat prayers, i just sat there, trying to digest what just happened. i tried to put back my thoughts together, coz it seems to be buzzing all around, and i just want to remember everything. =)
my hubby came back, we signed the documents, and alhamdulillah, selesai sudah!
and then, it was salam salam session between me & Asfirdaus =)
by the way, Project2Pi is with CST Breed. CST Breed is my official videographer, fyi =) so Project2Pi is this new service by CST Breed where they will upload the pictures ON THE SPOT via instagram, twitter, and facebook! so those yang cannot attend my wedding got updated with the whole event even without being there! i think it's such an awesome new service, and it's a good thing i took it =D
and here's the video, by CST Breed, of our wedding =)
(and they made it so brilliantly that even i cried when watching!)

alhamdulillah it was a beautiful day, blessings from Allah SWT.
everything went well and smoothly!
ohhhh.. i can't thank everyone enough!
may Allah SWT reward your kindness, your kind and lovely wishes, your prayers, your presence, everything! moga Allah swt membalas berganda ganda!!
