Spamming Majlis Bandaraya

 Most of the time, i walk my son to his school since it's nearby.

Now, my area is nice. It has a lot of shops, restaurants, grocery shops, even MR DIY. 

But..

It also has a lot of cars, motor, lorries, trucks.

And no pedestrian walkway! No zebra crossings! No safe path to cross the roads!

It had bothered me since a long time ago, but there was a highway construction here, so i thought maybe because the roads are not completed, they wouldn't be painting any zebra crossings.

However, the roads are now already completed, there's even more parking spaces than before, but still no zebra crossings.

You could see people with strollers and kids, elders, office workers, just running across the street because cars tend to not slow down at certain parts. 

So once upon a day when i was walking my son to school and mind you it wasn't like a peak hour or anything, but the cars were just moving around without bothering to slow down when they saw us already almost halfway across! Part of me was angry at those drivers, but if a person who is not familiar with this place, it's understandable that they would drive their normal speed. There's no sign of pedestrian crossing, no sign to alert drivers to slow down.

I dah geram dah, balik tu i google on how to make a complaint to the town planner or whoever built this stupid system of a place.

I found I-Tegur, i downloaded the app and plan siap siap nak cari 'bukti' for this hazard.

The next day tu, while i was walking my son to school as usual, i took pic of whoever i saw crossing the road and complained about the lack of zebra crossing. I kinda spammed them too and repeated the same complaint except with different pictures and under different categories. 

There wasn't a specific category for it. There was Kerosakan Jalan, Pakir/Binaan, Lampu Isyarat, Tumbuhan, Sampah, Longkang, Tandas...

That was why i spammed under random categories and i was planning to make more, but i got notification about something i forgot, but basically was saying "dah la tu, kita dapat dahhh~" 😂

I felt like it was such a Grown Up Moment, ya know? I thought that despite being a city where there are residential areas and offices, there's very little thought being put for the people inside it. It's as if this place is built for vehicles rather than the human beings. 

I really hope they would do something about it. I did receive emails about my complains being accepted by the Majlis Bandaraya, but since 17 August, nothing has changed yet. It would take time, i assume. But i really hope they would hurry. Geram dan rimas tak reda lagi ni huhu..

I think i should spam them some more though...

Should i?

Instead of asking for "laluan pintas jalan untuk pejalan kaki", i wanna request for signage untuk slow down and orang cross the street.

Macam-macam signage diorang boleh pakai!

Pakailah please.
