Knowledge should humble you

orang yang saya cintai now shares a lot of videos on his facebook, which is kind of rare as he seldom goes on facebook.
alhamdulillah the videos he shares are about Islam =)

this is one video he shared and to which i find interesting, is about the importance of intellectual humility in Islam and its teachings.

as mentioned in the video, just because you googled the translation of hadith or because you speak the arab language, that does not mean you know what you're talking about.
and just because you can quote a line or two from the Quran, that does not mean you're any better than other muslims .

to all haters, you should take a few pointers from this video.
modesty is not only shown by what you wear and how you act.
but with your knowledge too.

it is our responsibility to berdakwah, but it is not necessary to debate.
so chill k?

sekian.

Selamat Berpuasa! =D

that awkward moment

#thatawkwardmoment when

- you wanted to say "Good morning/afternoon/etc" to your boss/colleague/whoever's on the other line, but it came out as "gohfhahham..."

- you wanted to say "terima kasih/thank you/namaste/etc" to the cashier/toll girl/guy or whoever, but it came out as "theakkslmsns..."

- you don't remember your old friend's name and when they said "remember me?", but you said "yeahhh!! omg long time no seee, blablablaaa!" and then after a long conversation, you still don't remember their name.

- you said "such a handsome babyyy!!!" and the mother said "he's a she actually" or vice versa.

- you heard the person in the toilet cubicle buang angin baik punya. bila beliau keluar, hot rupanya.

- you wore baju awesome punya siap ngan heels bajet cantik pastu bila jalan jalan, ter-trip over something non-existent. depan orang ramai.

- you heard your favourite song in a store, then you told your friends "i love this song!!" then when you started singing along, you forgot the lyrics.

- you were telling a story and realise no one's listening. so you just stop.

- you were pissed off at the person who didn't reply your text only to realise you didn't send the text in the first place.

- you were camwhoring and you realised someone's watching. worse, they're your brother(s).

- you thought you're swimming like a mermaid, when actually, you're not even moving and you're the cause for the extreme waves in the pool.

- you rubbed your eyes, forgetting you had eye makeup on.

- you just told a joke and no one laughed.

- you made a video of you singing horrendously, and saw it on tv.

- you sneezed, and your phlegm landed on someone's foot.

- you were talking to your friend next to you while walking, and walked straight into the wall.

- you asked your friend "you're going to X's event tomorrow?", and your friend answered "i'm not invited"

- someone walks in on you when you're talking to yourself/recording a video.

- your boss asks you "what's harry potter?"

*you actually refers to me. and maybe you.
hehe!!

would you like to Iftar with me?

ASSALAMUALAIKUM!

caps lock tanda excited.

i am excited, very very excited~ lalalala~~ lululuuu~~
can you tell?
i don't know, but i'm excitedddd~~
lalalaala~~

ok ok.

maybe most of you don't know, i've started wearing hijab last year, on the second day of Ramadhan. believe it bebeh! it has been a year already!! wooottttt!!!
i bet some of you don't understand the big deal of wearing tudung for a year. kannnn?
haha!
well, it is for me because, considering my lifestyle, how i was brought up, my environment, everything about myself even, have not been encouraging for me to be hijab-ed and covered.
being able to stand up against the negativities, learning every step of the way to be a better person (amiiinnn!), potraying a muslim woman boldly, changing my lifestyle, and so much more, these are my accomplishments!

and it all begins with a niat to wear tudung.
=')
alhamdulillah.. alhamdulillah.. alhamdulillah..

so in goodness of the month of Ramadhan yang best best awesome awesome ini,
i'd like to invite 15 people to berbuka puasa with me!
FOR FREE OK!
because it's sponsored. hehe!!
it's all thanks to ODISI STUDIO who has been kind enough to offer not only break-fasting feast (cuba cakap laju laju: break-fasting feast), but photos, videos and such! cool kan?

thus, i'm hosting a contest, a real simple contest, for you to be one of the 15 people! over kan nak buat contest =p sorry, i just want to be fair! heee..

picture of me 'floating': credits to SimplyEvents! =D

so there! easy kan? OH!! forgot to mention that editting is not an issue! be creative!! and the most 'likes' will win!

Barcelona Te Queiro

itu hari saya dan Ami pergi ke Barcelona. had to leave Faressa in UK because she loves Harry Potter too much to leave him just yet. hahaha!
in Barcelona, the best way to get around to tourist attractions, is by Hop on/off bus. ni takde ek system "ON TOUR" and sms ke 32111 untuk mendapatkan perkhidmatan tour. hahhaaha!! ok lawak tak kelakar. sorry. =p

SO!
Barcelona!
memang awesome la the place!
especially the buildings!! if you're into architecture & art, you'll definitely love Barcelona!
i tell you, every building is different than the other! UNIQUE GILAAAAAA!!! sila sediakan tissue sebab anda (mungkin) akan nangis selepas melihat gambar gambar awesome di bawah:

Casa Batllo

pintu paling gangsta i pernah jumpa

ok this house (it's a HOUSE, ok. HOUSE), has almost no straight lines!! unbelievable? believe it! hahaa! memang cool gila. the house will make you feel as if you're living underwater. and ze roof, super awesome. it's inspired by dragon scales! cantik kan?

La Pedrera

now this is the just the rooftop. all those weird whatever face thingys, they are ventilation towers. doesn't it remind you a bit of Star Wars, the clone troopers? kan kan kan?! *que Star Wars theme song*

La Sagrada Familia

this is a church, and it's really really big!! do you see Clone Troopers? coz i do. hahaha!
*que Star Wars theme song*

Camp Nou

saya ni bukan peminat bola sangat. tetapi itu brothers and boipren ah, manyak suka sama ini team so saya manyak beli baju untuk meleka sebab saya manyak sayang sama meleka. meleka better sayang saya lebih sekalang.

Mahkota Manchester

you know how traveling by bus in Malaysia is way faster than the train?

well, my cousins and i expected the same in UK. turns out, it's the opposite there.
the trains are wayyyyyyy faster than the buses!

so from London, my cousins and i took the bus to Manchester, and guess what. it took us 8 hours!!!
if we took the train, we could've reached there in 2+ hours.
cis!
tapi sebab the bus was a lot cheaper, so of course.. biasa lah orang ber-budget kan..

anyway, you have to know.
in UK, there are NO R&Rs.
kalau ada pun, aiseymannnnn!!!! tak stop punnnn!!
midway, i wanted to kenc but i had to tahan for a longgg timeeee!
there was a toilet in the bus, but cuba you imagine. dalam bus tu ada about 40 ppl max. men + women + kids.
and then imagine the bus, on the road.
imagine having to peeeeeeee in a moving bus, and you know there are people around.
imagine all the butts that touched the toilet seat. and all the 'misses' if you know what i mean..
oh gosh.
i don't want to write more coz i already feel nauseated by it.

good thing was that along the way to Manchester, the view was amazing!
trees everywhere, lalang that have pretty purple and pink flowers (kalau kat malaysia, lalang nampak cam lalang), sheeps and cows yang gemuk gemuk and sihat, fields and more fields!
oh syok la tengok.

i wish i took some pictures of it, but i couldn't capture any coz i sat at the isle and next to me is the hot black mamasita with lips as pouty as jennifer hudson's, so i dare not stretch my arm to her side for pictures. oh well. it's in my mind, so hopefully it'll stay there =D

i went to Manchester already before on my first ever Eurotrip with my friends and i covered all the tourist stuff. so when i went there recently, i just chilled with my cousins and my aunty. =D

silverton grove where grover was born =p

meet Irfan. seluar paras punggung is never outdated there. =p

jakun with ponies

horsieee!

ma, nak yang ni maaaa! =p

we would've taken the horses or ponies back to London, but i don't think that's legal. haha!
and because we couldn't stomach another 8hours of traveling, we took the train and alhamdulillah we got first class tickets for the price of a standard coach! woooot!!

tamak siot.

now here's a story to this picture.

before my cousins and i left Malaysia, we called our grandmother, Tokmak comel.
here's our conversation (more or less):

Tokmak: Ena, ena jaga diri baik baik kat sana~ jangan happy sangat.
Ena: jangan happy sangat? nape lak?
Tokmak: hey! kat sini happy sikit sikit. nanti kat sana baru happy banyak banyak.
Ena: hahaha!! ooohhhh!! ok ok. ena tak happy sangat dah =B tokmak jaga diri tauu! sayang ena tak?
Tokmak: eh kau ni. mestilah aku sayang!
Ena: ena favourite tokmak kan? hahaha!!
Tokmak: tokmak takde feberet pun laaa! eh kau tu. ni aku nak nasehat. bila kat sanaaa, haaa, ko jaga mahkota kau! ko tau mahkota?
Ena: ya Allah Tokmak! ena akan jaga mahkota ena, dont worry! hehe!
Tokmak: ha bagus. ko tengok tengok kan si ami ngan baby tu. ko jaga mahkota diorang!
Ena: haa?? ena jaga mahkota diorang? geli la tokmak! hehehehe!
Tokmak: ye la! ko tengok kan diorang tu. tau?
Ena: ok tokmak. ena jaga mahkota diorang. hehe!!
Tokmak: pastu kirim salam kat sume orang. ko jangan lupa!

...and our conversation continued pasal benda lain but i don't think i should write them up. =)
apparently, Tokmak told Ami and Baby to look after their mahkota as well. cuma i had the extra responsibility of looking after mine AND theirs. hehehehehehee! tokmak comel la, =D

so when we saw the train with 'Virgin' on it, teringat gila kat tokmak, hence the picture!! Tokmak, kitorang naik Mahkota!!
hahahahhaahahahahah!!

ps: barangsiapa tak paham mahkota tu apa, maka biarlah anda tak paham. maybe your time is not now to understand, but someday soon. insyallah. =p

Maria Potter pun boleeeehhhhhh

i don't think anyone really understands my love for Harry Potter.
yes, i'm 23+ years old.
yes, i'm a working person already.
yes, i'm not a child.
i know, i know.

but i grew up reading the books. i learnt English by reading the books.
i grew to know that love between friends is just as important as love with our family.
i grew to understand the right things to do are not always the easiest.
i learnt about the power of will.
oh gosh.. banyak la sampai nak nangis kalau i write it all up! hehe!

so when i went to UK with my cousins, i had the amazing opportunity to go to HARRY POTTER'S LAST MOVIE PREMIERE! ok just the red carpet la. i didn't watch the movie then. ish. sabar la.
=p

cuppa tea in Trafalgar Square anyone?
see this red/yellow scarfed person with pencil-eyeliner-ed scar on the forehead? well, it's my forehead, and that Gryffindor scarf, i knitted it myself. ohhh yeaaahhh. muahahaha!

see that sea of crowd? see their flags? we're fans from all over the world! =D
hoooo yeaaahhhhhh

 see that ginger-haired boy?
that's my bebeh Rupert Grint.
hooo yeaaaaahhhh

see that gorgeous pixie-haired bebeh?
that's my bebeh Emma Watson.
hoooooo yeaaaaahhhhh

see that blonde mamasita?
that's my hero (apart from Mama & Abah).
The Woman Who Changed My Life.
that's my bebeh, JK Rowling.
hoooooo yeaaaaaahhhhh

it was such an amazing experience!!

nevermind the number of smelly people pushing through trying to grab the Harry Potter casts that walked past us, nevermind the rain, cold and having to stand up for more than 6 hours, nevermind being surrounded by people who looked at us as if we're some crazy bunch of people without anything better to do.
never mind all that!
because what matters to me is that Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Snape, Voldemort and all the amazing people in Harry Potter books, were just one arm stretch away from me. can't have that anywhere else kan. =p

and what touched me the most, was this:
OLOLOLOOOO!!! sweet nya kau Rupert Grint and Emma Watson!
they were getting all emotional about the last movie and separating and stuff. i can understand la how that feels..
even i cried ok! hehe!

so that's me with my bebeh Daniel Radcliffe on the screen behind moi.
and yes, that is a vaseline lotion i was holding so dearly in my hand.
hahaha!

now, i don't know if there were any other Malaysians in the crowd other than my cousins and myself, but i know, i'm one hardcore Harry Potter fan.

Sekian, terima kasih JK Rowling.
for my childhood.
='D

ps: i am still wearing the HP band! teeheee!
