Bali dancing

assalamualaikum!


dah 2 bulan kahwin, ni baru je pergi honeymoon =)
we planned it a long time ago actually and were supposed to go in january, but things got busy, so we just biarkan.

to be honest, it wasn't that we want to be honeymoony (if that's a word. i mean, being all siamese twins during honeymoon. pipi melekat to each others'.), we just needed a break.
it was so hectic for us last year.
i was spinning in a hurricane of work, studying, wedding stuff, and all other things.

so i was really looking forward to a break.
so was he.

but tu la. ok! back to our holiday trip to bali!

it was really nice and simple =)
we got our hotel package at groupon. beli 4days 3nights package, dapat duduk hotel yang ada pool villa for a really reasonable price and then our flight tickets pun dapat promo price.
alhamdulillah =)

people in bali are super nice! friendly and sangat beradab!
most of them are hindu though. agak tak biasa la tengok orang indonesian greeting us hindu style instead of "assalamualaikum". heee..

shopping there are ok la. boleh dapat souvenirs merata rata tempat.
tapi hubs and i went to Krishna (or something spelt like that) and get the souvenirs there mostly. sebab senang. sume ada in one place. and cheaper too.

our supir was so nice! eventhough dia hindu, tapi bila kita mintak dia bawak gi tempat solat, dia bawak dari tempat parking, tanya orang area tu and bawak kita on foot sampai ke satu madrasah ni.
baik gila la!
and tunggu sampai kita habis solat lak tu!

so in summary, places yang (for me) best gi tengok:
1. Uluwatu - watch kecak dance sambil tengok sunset.

kalau tak pakai seluar panjang kena pakai sarung purple. kalau tutup aurat macam saya, pakai ribbon kuning je keliling pinggang.

ni la kecak dancers. it's kinda cool how they made sounds that collectively becomes music.

2. Ubud, Tanah Lot - tengok temples on the cliffs. cool jugak sebab building building kat bali kan macam very artistic. they mix the kayu and batu elements together.

situ ada kecak dance gak but it's not as good as uluwatu's (so they said).

ni lagi satu. kitorang tak sompek nak naik temple cliff tu sobab air pasang. 

ni before mat salleh tu sibuk enterframe (pic in previous post).

3. Beaches. to all beach bummers, beach mereka agak best. surfers everywhere! (sebab tengah high tide).

and it was kinda interesting to see white people in their 2-piece taking pics of beruks yang agaknya teringin nak surf gak. ahak! =p

amboi cheq! kat pantai tapi tak swim swim. agak kemalasan ketika ini kerana terlalu ramai orang.

dan sebab saya pakai crocs & stokin. ehek ehek! 

sebab malas nak bukak kasut bagai, kitorang just duduk tepi tepi beach and watch people (one of my favourite pastime =p)

dalam 15 min, kitorang chow. haha! sebab nak sambung jalan.

basically itu je i can share when it comes to sight-seeing in Bali. we went to a lot of other places. but sini i just list apa i rasa MUST-GO gitu.

we didn't do any water-sport stuff coz we didn't have that much time, though we really wanted to.

maybe next time in sha Allah.

to all Hard Rock collectors, pi la Hard Rock cafe. hehe!

ok kat bali ni agak susah in terms of pemakanan. because majority of them are hindu, so most places tak halal.

alhamdulillah though, tempat kita stay which is in kuta, ada halal food restaurants nearby. so we can just walk from the hotel to the restaurant.

tapi some halal restaurants pun ada jual liquor.. so.. macam agak musykil di sana.

best advice: google for halal tours in bali or bring your own food like canned tuna, instant food, etc.

kalau pasal tour2 ni, masa kat airport, ambil la all the brochures and pamphlets. and then sampai bilik hotel, study ramai2 and chose which suits your taste best.
